How it works
Three steps. Then it runs itself.

Get invited
A parent already in the circle sends you a link. You join as their friend and start with 10 points, enough for a few hours out before you’ve sat for anyone.

Sit, earn points
See who in your circle needs a sitter, with the date, the kids’ ages and the points it pays. Say yes, and you get their address and house notes.

Spend them on a night out
Post a request and the app prices it for you. After the sit, you confirm it happened and the points move. Your passbook keeps the record.
Points
Three kids on a Friday night isn’t a Tuesday nap.
Every sit is priced the same way, so nobody has to haggle or keep a mental tally. One point is roughly one hour with one kid on a weekday afternoon.

Invite only
Every family joins through someone already in the circle, and each family has three invites. Nobody wanders in.
You see the connection
Every request shows how you know the family: Friend or Friend of Megan T.. You choose whose kids you watch.
Details stay private
Phone numbers, addresses and house notes are shared only with the one family on the other side of a sit, and only after someone says yes.
Points follow real sits
Points move only after the family confirms the sit happened. Cancel before it starts and nothing changes hands.

Does it cost anything?
No. The pilot is free. You pay in time, not money.
Who can join?
Parents invited by a family already in the circle. If you don’t know anyone yet, join the waitlist and we’ll reach out as the circle grows near you.
Does Babysitting Bank screen sitters?
No. Babysitting Bank keeps the calendar and the ledger for parents who already know each other. You decide who watches your kids, the same way you would if a friend offered.
What if plans change?
Cancel the request, or tap “I can’t make it” if you were sitting. The request goes back to the circle and no points move.
Is there an app to download?
No download needed. It works in your phone’s browser. On an iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and it opens like an app.
What if I run low on points?
Everyone can dip to −10 before they need to sit for someone. Saying yes to one Friday night usually gets you back above zero.
